Smart Label Host Innovation Award 2025: Heko Stands Out for Sustainability and Technology

Heko Smart Kitchen’s Energy Manager system has been selected among the winners of the Smart Label – Host Innovation Award 2025, the prize awarded to services, products, or projects that stand out for their innovation in terms of functionality, technology, environmental sustainability, ethics, or social impact.

ABOUT THE SMART LABEL – HOST INNOVATION AWARD

Smart Label, Host Innovation Award, is the recognition for innovation in the Ho.Re.Ca. sector promoted by HOST – FIERA MILANO in collaboration with Poli.Design and under the patronage of ADI (Association for Industrial Design).

A committee of professors from the Politecnico di Milano and industry experts evaluates the applications based on their innovative content, user experience and benefits, use of eco-friendly materials and sustainable processes, and ability to go beyond established trends, especially through the use of digital technologies and IoT (Internet of Things).

Heko’s Energy Manager was selected as a winner for its strong contribution to social and environmental sustainability, an award that honors not only technological innovation, but also a tangible commitment to environmental and social responsibility.
In this context of excellence, Heko stands out with a cutting-edge solution designed to transform energy efficiency in the professional foodservice industry.

HEKO ENERGY MANAGER

Energy Manager is the revolutionary system developed by Heko in order to optimize energy consumption and empower culinary professionals. This constantly improved innovative solution goes beyond simple monitoring, offering real-time insights, detailed reporting, and the ability to actively manage energy used across the entire kitchen ecosystem reducing waste and enhancing sustainability.
It empowers chefs and kitchen managers to make informed decisions about optimizing their operations. It calibrates absorption for individual appliances, keeping it under a preset value, gives priorities and performs gradual depowerment. All while maintaining high operating performance.

Heko’s smart kitchens are already equipped with state-of-the-art components designed to minimize energy consumption. Features like titanium fry tops, which reduce heat irradiation, and HRS (heat reserve systems) that provide heat on demand, work in harmony with the Energy Manager to create a truly efficient and eco-conscious kitchen.
